The Red-lored Amazon Parrot (Amazona autumnalis) is a vibrant and intelligent parrot species native to Central America and northern parts of South America. It is well known for its colorful markings, playful nature, and strong talking ability.

Brief Description:

The Red-lored Amazon has a bright green body with a distinctive red patch on the forehead (lore) between the eyes and the beak, which gives the species its name. Many birds also display blue and yellow highlights on the head and red feathers on the wings. They typically grow 13–14 inches (33–36 cm) in length and have a strong curved beak and sturdy build typical of Amazon parrots.

These parrots are highly intelligent, social, and energetic. Red-lored Amazons are also good talkers, capable of learning words, phrases, and various sounds.

Their diet should include high-quality pellets, fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, along with plenty of toys, enrichment, and a spacious cage to keep them mentally and physically stimulated.

With their bright colors, playful personality, and excellent vocal ability, the Red-lored Amazon Parrot is a popular companion bird for experienced parrot owners.
